Software Highlights Groundbreaking Developments at Annual User Conference

EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA — Upside Software, the global leader in Contract Lifecycle Management software highlighted ground breaking developments at its annual user conference held on Sep 13-15, 2006 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The annual user conference is an action-packed event attended by Upside Software customers from around the world. This year’s event had attendees from virtually all industries and from numerous countries. As with past conferences, there were case studies presented by selected Upside Software customers – this year’s case studies were shared by 3M, NCR and Government of Manitoba.
Upside Software shared upcoming product developments that go into 2008 and during the sessions, worked with its customers to validate the roadmap as well as identify opportunities for product expansion. The list of innovations planned will once again raise the bar in the market and help Upside increase its existing leadership
position even more significantly. The company spends more then 35% of its revenues on R&D, which is significantly higher then that of its competitors and the general software industry.

One of the Fortune 100 companies that selected Upside Software recently used a Six Sigma “Cause & Effect” matrix tool with weighted selection criteria to narrow the selection from 17 to 3 potential solutions. The resulting score identified the application with the greatest potential of being successfully implemented on a best value approach. Among the 200+ selection criteria were specific requirements addressing integration, administration, security, cost and functionality, the last having the greatest number of requirements by far.
Vendors were then asked to provide proof of concept in a controlled environment. After this comprehensive assessment, Upside Software was
selected and this customer is already enjoying the benefits from the UpsideContract application globally.
