Ashif Mawji - President & CEO
|
Ashif has been an entrepreneur since he was 12 years old, when he sold watches at trade shows. He has provided senior management consulting expertise to various organizations globally. In 1995, he was instrumental in securing a $60M+ outsourcing deal in conjunction with IBM. Ashif has made sure that any company he is a key player with has been profitable and that both revenues and profits grow annually. He has over 15 years experience in the
IT industry and has served as an advisor to executive steering committees of multi-billion dollar organizations. Ashif has helped lead Upside Software to become a
profitable enterprise contract management software vendor that has managed to secure triple digit gains in revenues and earnings on a consistent basis and has grown to about 140 employees. Ashif has helped Upside Software become the
#1 provider in the enterprise contract lifecycle management market and one of the only ones that’s profitable.
Ashif has spoken at a number of conferences worldwide on the topic of
Contract Management and related processes and has had several of his articles published in leading industry magazines globally. He belongs to the Financial Executives International (FEI) organization and is on the board of several organizations, including Edmonton Economic Development Corporation (EEDC), Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), Edmonton Oilers Foundation, Alberta's Promise, and Kids Kottage to name a few.
Ashif was recently awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal which is presented to Canadians that have contributed significantly to Canada. As well, he was awarded the 2002 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year award (Young Entrepreneur – Prairies Region). In 2004 he was presented with the esteemed Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 Award.

Dan Townsend – Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Prior to joining Upside Software, Dan served with the Government of Alberta (GOA) for 22 years. Dan's experience with the GOA was in a broad range of senior management functions that included fleet management, organizational restructuring, BPR, and systems development. Most recently Dan was responsible for the
development and implementation of several strategic, cross-ministry e-business applications that targeted the reduction of financial process costs & improving the access to key management information.
Dan is responsible for global sales and marketing as well as channel development for Upside Software. In addition, Dan manages the customer training group within Upside Software.

Adrienne Hui – Director of Client Support Services

Adrienne has several years of experience in the IT industry. She oversees all client touch points, from pre-sales & marketing, training & documentation to client support. Working with customers from all different angles has provided Adrienne with a clear understanding of the overall client experience. Her objective is to make the customer's experience seamless and build strong client relationships. Adrienne holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Strategic Management and Marketing.
Prior to joining Upside Software, Adrienne held various positions in the
IT and Venture Capital industries.

Doug Hay – Chief Architect

Prior to joining Upside Software, Doug was a senior consultant with Cognos Inc. He assisted clients like Boeing and Cisco Systems on how to make intelligent streamlining decisions with the vast data they captured within their systems. Doug's expertise in mining large amounts of data and turning it into Information Gold is a highly desired skill in the business community. Prior to Cognos, he worked for companies like IBM, in the capacity of senior project manager, senior architect and DBA. Doug has over 25 years experience in the
IT industry.
Doug is responsible for overall product strategy and design and works closely with the rest of the senior management team as well as Upside Software customers in identifying and defining future product functionality and architecture.

Eli Yochim – Director of Product Maintenance & Quality
|
Eli has several years of experience in the IT Industry. As one of Upside Software’s initial employees, Eli has played a lead role in the
development of
Upside Software's product suite. This experience has provided Eli with a solid foundation in the areas of project management, product design and personnel management. Eli’s current responsibilities include managing the product maintenance, quality assurance, and system configuration management facets of Upside’s software operations. Eli holds a diploma in Computer Systems Technology (CST) from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT).
Eli is responsible for the product maintenance and quality assurance teams within the
Upside Software development group and is tasked with ensuring optimal quality and timeliness of production version updates.

Cory Pockett – Director of Implementation

Cory has been working in the IT industry for more than 14 years. He has a wide range of experience in
various development platforms and has specialized in large scale financial systems integration projects. Cory has contracted with such companies as IBM and the Government of Alberta. Recent experience prior to assuming his current role, Cory has been responsible for several successful implementations of financial applications interfacing with PeopleSoft implementations.
Cory is responsible for ensuring successful product deployments and providing the professional services team with overall guidance.

Mitch Humeniuk – Director of Technical Services
|
Mitch has more than 14 years experience in the IT industry. As one of Upside Software’s initial project managers, Mitch has led numerous Upside Software implementation projects to a successful completion. These projects included technical application configurations a';nd system integrations with PeopleSoft, Oracle Financials, SAP, legacy in-house systems and document management systems. Mitch uses this experience to provide guidance and leadership to the analysts who perform the application installation and product configuration including UpsideForms development, Workflow Process configurations, custom report development and data export/import integrations. Mitch earned a diploma in Computer Systems Technology (CST) from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT).
Mitch’s responsibilities include Upside Software’s product installation and technical configuration to meet client requirements as well as providing Infrastructure support of our internal network and communication systems.

Alex Fedossenko – Director of Internal Process Improvement

For about one-third of his over 20 years in the IT industry, Alex has worked with many of his current colleagues at Upside Software. Early in his career he worked in Europe in the field of industrial automation and
software development. In North America, Alex has been involved in a number of long-term projects with such clients as IBM and the Government of Alberta. Throughout his career, Alex has gained valuable expertise in all phases of the software lifecycle, from design and
development to implementation.
Alex is responsible for all aspects of internal process improvement, including internal support systems as well as inter-team communication and development.
